Next steps
Wherever you are, there’s a next step.
Maybe you’re just curious about Jesus. Maybe you’ve followed Him for years. Either way, we’d love to help you take your next step.
Step 1 · Follow Jesus
God loves you, and He wants a relationship with you.
Following Jesus isn’t about being good enough or having it all together. It’s about trusting what Jesus already did for you. Here’s what the Bible says, as simple as A, B, C:
A: Admit that you’ve sinned and need God. Everyone has fallen short, and sin separates us from Him. (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)
B: Believe that Jesus is God’s Son, that He died on the cross for your sins, and that He rose again. (John 3:16, Romans 5:8)
C: Confess Jesus as your Lord. Tell God you’re turning from your sin and putting your trust in Jesus. (Romans 10:9-10)
A simple prayer
There are no magic words. God cares about your heart. If you’re ready, you can pray something like this:
“Jesus, I know I’ve sinned and I need You. I believe You died for me and rose again. I’m sorry for my sin, and I turn from it. Come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiving me and giving me new life. Amen.”
Did you pray that prayer today? We’d love to celebrate with you and help you take your next step. Let us know below.
Step 2 · Get baptized
An outward sign of an inward change.
Jesus told His followers to be baptized (Matthew 28:19). Water baptism doesn’t save you. Jesus does that. Baptism is how you show everyone that you’ve given your life to Him: your old life is buried, and you rise to a new one (Romans 6:4).
Ready to be baptized? Talk with our Senior Pastor, Pastor Harry Buhrman Jr. You can catch him on a Sunday, or let us know below and he’ll reach out to you.
Step 3 · Get connected
Faith grows best with friends.
Sunday worship is a great start, but the real growing happens when you get to know people. There’s a group for every age.

Step 4 · Become a member
Make Pinchot Park your church home.
Once you’ve been coming for a while and feel at home, membership is a way to say, “This is my church family.” It’s a commitment to grow, serve, and walk alongside one another.
