History
Our church was formed in 1947 by the Sanderson family. In the early years of the church we grew from meeting in a tent to building a small church on the current Pinchot Park grounds. This church was know as Victory Full Gospel Church.
In 1956, the congregation decided to join the Eastern District of the Assemblies of God and the current church became known as Victory Gospel Assembly of God Church.

Our Mission
OUR MISSION is to both locally and globally reach out to those who have not yet fully experienced the love of Jesus Christ in their lives. It is a place where positive attitudes are developed, good people become better, hurts are healed, lessons are learned, friendships are developed, marriages are strengthened, families are bonded, all ages are valued, the restless find peace, love is alive and where eternal life is found by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Our church is named after Gifford Pinchot State Park. You will find us located between the Park Office and the Quaker Day Use Entrance on Route 177.
Our Purpose
In carrying out our mandate, we purpose to maintain balance in these four ministries:
- EXALTATION! Experiencing a love relationship with God through vibrant, exciting worship.
- EVANGELIZATION! Expressing our love for people through servant ministries in our church, our town and around the world.
- EDUCATION! Equipping believers with ministry tools and the knowledge to use them.
- EDIFICATION! Embracing the joys of a life shared with others in fun and fellowship.
WHO REALLY CARES???
…WE DO and so does GOD!!! He says to you today…
- “For God so loved the world (YOU), that He gave His only Son(Jesus); that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life (eternally in Heaven)!” John 3:16
